From the #1 Milk of Magnesia Brand, Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia Wild Cherry Flavor liquid laxative is a saline laxative providing gentle overnight relief of occasional constipation* formulated with Magnesium Hydroxide to provide cramp and stimulant free relief of occasional constipation*. (This usually produces a bowel movement in 30 minutes to 6 hours). Phillips’ liquid laxative works with the body’s natural process to relieve occasional constipation. To use, adults and children 12+ take 30-60mL, children 6-11 take 15-30mL. Ask a doctor for children under 6 years old. For accurate dosing, only use dosing cup provided. Dose may be taken once a day preferably at bedtime, in divided doses, or as directed by a doctor. Drink a full glass (8oz) of liquid with each dose. Ask a doctor if you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week. Constipation, or irregularity, is a condition in which stools pass more slowly than usual through the bowels (intestines), occurring when too much water is removed from the stools, becoming hardened. Ask a doctor before use if you have kidney disease; a magnesium-restricted diet; stomach pain, nausea, or vomiting; or a sudden change in bowel habits that lasts over 14 days. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are taking a prescription drug. This product may interact with certain prescription drugs. Stop use and ask a doctor if you have rectal bleeding or no bowel movement after using this product. These could be signs of a serious condition. Stop use and ask a doctor if you need to use a laxative for more than 1 week. If pregnant or breast-feeding, ask a health professional before use. Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.
Indications
Relieves occasional constipation (irregularity). This product usually produces bowel movement in 1/2 to 6 hours.
Ingredients
Magnesium hydroxide 1200 mg anhydrous citric acid, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, D&C red #28, flavor, glycerin, microcrystalline cellulose, purified water, sodium citrate, sodium hypochlorite, sucrose, xanthan gum.
Directions
Do not exceed the maximum recommended daily dose in a 24 hour period. Shake well before use. Dose may be taken once a day preferably at bedtime, in divided doses, or as directed by a doctor. Drink a full glass (8 oz) of liquid with each dose. For accurate dosing, only use dosing cup provided, mL = milliliter. Adults and children 12 years and older 30 mL to 60 mL.
